How did they find such a perfect medium from which to fashion these earthy ornaments? From the top of their chicken house. That's right. They have recycled these from the tin roof of their chicken house. Now, if that ain't puttin' a creative spin on reuse/recycle, I don't know what is.

I am so smitten with bottledupdesigns' shop that I can hardly stand it. This shop is full up with earth-friendly items made from litter. I KNOW! Can you believe it? They are so pretty, you never would have guessed the glass forming these lovely earbobs (as my grandmother would say) was made from glass lying around in our outdoors. She even has Christmas ornaments made from the same. Just amazing!

Just yesterday, my 5-month-old Zoe was saying, "Mom, I really should do more to help the planet." Okay, maybe what she really said was, "ahhhhthbbbbbb"...but, if she knew there was such a thing as a planet, I know she'd want to help it. That's where justjussi comes in. I love my old vinyl albums. I still have fond memories of listening to my GoGos album wanting to be a GoGo before I was old enough to realize they were all hopped up on the drugs. But what to do with those old albums? I, unfortunately, am not as clever as SisilyLove, who found an inventive way to upcycle old albums into cool pieces of jewelry. I don't know about you, but I love me some food. I also love me a bath. And I love me the scent of vanilla better than any other scent. Put all those together, and I may just get downright stupid giddy. I have found just the way to get that way without the guilt that comes from eating copious amounts of vanilla bean ice cream in the tub. Gudonya (pronounced Good on ya - which is plain clever) has this very cool, very vegan Whipped Clean in Tahitian vanilla. And waaaay more economical than those mass-produced folks.
